FACS 499: Internship
An internship is required for all Liberty Interior Design students. I found my internship to be incredibly helpful and rewarding. I got to see all aspects of a day-to-day life of an interior designer. One of my primary roles during my internship was rendering. Below you will see some of the projects I took part in!
Master Bedroom

This bedroom was created in SketchUp. Finishes, furnishings, and fixtures were all chosen for this project, so this rendering gave the client a full view of the room and the materials and products selected.
Dresser Debate

I was able to show the different selection choices the client was given. This helped to visualize the difference and chose their preference.
Down by the Lake

Board and Batten was suggested for this home, so these renderings show a series of vertical board and batten spanning the walls all the way to the vaulted ceiling. This home was created in SketchUp.

These renderings show the walls if left without board and batten and strictly placing it upon the ceiling.

Here you can see a on variation of a rendering of bar area off of the kitchen and dining area.
This rendering shows the space without a bar at all.

This bar option shows a different look opting for a regular wall cabinet over the tower cabinets.
This rendering just shows more details from the bar with tower cabinets.

Within this rendering you are able to see the living area, as well as horizontal board and batten.
Here you can see the horizontal board and batten along with a decorative arc leading to the master suite.

Built In Wardrobe and Vanity

_edit.jpg)

This project I used AutoCAD to create the elevations of th vanity/wardrobe and then built out the design in SketchUp. We were able to create multiple variations to give to the clients and provide rendering to visualize the space.
Wardrobe Rendering

This particular wardrobe was found at the High Point Market. Considered for a particular project with no SketchUp model I built out the piece of furniture to provide an accurate representation of how the furniture would work in the space.

The wardrobe modeled above is based on the wardrobe by Hooker Furniture, the Driftwood Wardrobe.
